Water Quality FAQs

Answer: Yes, Tower has the means and equipment to perform all of the water quality tests needed. The bacteria is an offsite test while the other 3 are onsite.

Answer: The hard mineral deposits in the water (hardness) create white calcium that becomes visible once the water evaporates.

If you see green corrosion, you have acidity or low pH, which over time will eat through your fixtures and/or piping. The issue should be addressed for the longevity of your plumbing system.

Answer: The short answer is to preserve the integrity of your plumbing distribution system so that you are not paying for repairs that are preventable. The idea is to spend money upfront instead of spending more money later on.

Answer: In the long term you will most certainly see a difference with fewer service calls from a plumbing outfit. You will notice an immediate change in your water quality with the installation of a water softener and/or a reverse osmosis system. You will have cleaner dishes, softer clothes, sudsier soaps, better-tasting water, and clearer ice cubes.

Answer: The only monthly maintenance to a water softener is maintaining a sufficient salt supply. A routine inspection and service from a professional is recommended every 3 years to check the screens, injectors, and pistons.
